Melvin Place, Fairlawn, New Jersey
My education in the trades started early. When Dad decided to expand the kitchen, I wasn't just a spectator; I was a student. I didn't know my grandmother Mary, and my grandfather Antol passed away from the hard life of an alcoholic when I was young, but those early days in Jersey were defined by the bond I formed with my cousin, Richie. Despite the miles between Pennsylvania and Arizona today, we’re still a two-man 'Recon' team, staying connected through the 'Invisible Tools' of text and calls.
Bagels, Blond Hair, and Rock & Roll
By age eleven, I was a tow-headed kid with bright blonde hair, but by twelve, nature flipped the switch to 'dirty blonde'—the first of many 'Next Shocks' my body would go through. We were living in Fairlawn, New Jersey, then, just a short drive from Grandma’s apartment in Passaic. I can still smell the steam in that bagel shop at night, waiting for hot bagels and cream cheese.

Changing... What's Next?
At thirteen, the world shifted again. My grandfather, Ross Jinselli—my namesake—was running a used car lot in Chicago, and we made the move to Wood Dale, Illinois. Just as we arrived, a new sound hit the airwaves that changed everything. Little Richard screamed 'Tutti Frutti,' and Jerry Lee Lewis started 'Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.' The 'Zoot' era was finding its groove, and Rock and Roll had officially entered the building. Oorah!"
Music became fun when songs like, 🎥 - “Tootti Fruitti”, by Little Richard introduced Rock and Roll to the scene. Here are a few more to dance to. 🎥 - Whole lotta shakin goin on. By Jerry Lee Lewis
