This journey didn't begin with me; it began with two daring leaps across the Atlantic. My story is anchored in the arrival of the Horvaths, who brought their resilience from Hungary, and the LaPortes, who carried their vibrant spirit from Italy.

They both passed through the gates of Ellis Island, leaving behind the old world to build a new one. Their courage on those docks created the 'Emotional North Star' that guided me from the hoodlum streets of Chicago and the elite ranks of the 1st Recon Marines, to the high-tech boardrooms of Sony and through many years in the world of technology. Now, I am writing my final chapter—merging a lifetime of memories with the very technology I helped pioneer—from the quiet beauty of Goodyear, Arizona
