During this year, I knew Gary’s health was deteriorating faster than expected and he became very upset that it prevented him from playing golf, pickleball and just enjoying life here in PebbleCreek. Every so often, when we hung up or were just saying goodbye, I would say “Love You”, I didn’t know what he thought, but I meant it, because my best friend since 1978 was struggling and I wanted to let him know that the strength of their bond and the importance was more than friendship.
When Gary was leaving, I said “I Love You Gary”, and for the first time in our friendship he said “Love You Too”.
