An 82-year journey through the 'Shocks' of human progress. 

This journey didn't begin with me; it began with two daring leaps across the Atlantic. My story is anchored in the arrival of the Horvaths, who brought their resilience from Hungary, and the LaPortes, who carried their vibrant spirit from Italy. They both passed through the gates of Ellis Island, leaving behind the old world to build a new one. Their courage on those docks created the 'Emotional North Star' that guided me from the hoodlum streets of Chicago and the elite ranks of the 1st Recon Marines, to the high-tech boardrooms of Sony and through many years in the world of technology. 

Now, Ace and I are writing the final chapter—merging a lifetime of memories with the very technology I helped pioneer—from the quiet beauty of PebbleCreek Golf Resort, Goodyear, Arizona. Too bad I can't play golf. Arthritis in my shoulders took all of the fun sports away from me. But, Georgia and I could not have found a better place to retire. We love it here and have made many friends.
