From Ellis Island to the age of AI

An 82-year journey through the 'Shocks' of human progress. 

This journey didn't begin with me; it began with two daring leaps across the Atlantic. My story is anchored in the arrival of the Horvaths, who brought their resilience from Hungary, and the LaPortes, who carried their vibrant spirit from Italy.

They both passed through the gates of Ellis Island, leaving behind the old world to build a new one. Their courage on those docks created the 'Emotional North Star' that guided me from the soot of the Illinois railroad tracks. From the caddy yards of Illinois and the elite ranks of the 1st Recon Marines, to the high-tech boardrooms of Sony, through many years of life in the world of technology. Now writing my last chapter, as a volunteer in the quiet beauty of PebbleCreek Resort, Goodyear, AZ
